The Hearth Skillet
Hand-Forged Carbon Steel Skillet
Pre-Order – Limited Batch
Pre-orders placed by 2/28/2025 will ship by 3/15/2025.
Handcrafted in our shop in Rutherfordton, North Carolina, The Hearth Skillet combines precision-formed carbon steel with true blacksmith-forged details.
Each pan begins as a high-quality carbon steel blank, then is individually hand-hammered for texture and character. The main handle and helper handle are fully hand-forged by artisan blacksmith Jordan Jackson and securely riveted to the pan.
The result is a skillet that blends performance and craftsmanship — built for real kitchens and real use.
Each piece is heat-colored over the forge and finished with a food-safe seasoning layer, ready to continue developing its natural non-stick surface in your home.
Why Carbon Steel?
Carbon steel cookware is favored by chefs for its:
• Excellent heat conduction
• High heat tolerance
• Superior temperature control
• Lightweight yet durable construction
• Naturally developing non-stick surface
It heats quickly, cools quickly, and transitions seamlessly from stovetop to oven — making it ideal for searing, sautéing, roasting, and everyday cooking.
With proper seasoning and care, these pans can last for decades.
